My Anxiety Issues

Hi guys,

So this is my first blog post, I have been suffering from anxiety these past few months so my friend told me to try and start a blog so I can tell you guys about my issues, so here it goes…

So as I said I have been suffering with anxiety and this all happened because of something I went through, so (wow this is really hard for me to tell you) around March time my Great Gran died and well it was horrible because she had this brain disease and she was always in hospital. Me and my family never really saw her so it was really hard when we got the call from the hospital telling us she had died that night, baring in mind that it was like 6 in the morning when we got the call so all of us had to pack our bags and go to her house and sort it out for the coming months. But when she wasn’t in the hospital we went to see her every weekend and I spoke to her everyday on the phone so we were really close and this was really hard for me. I went to see the doctors about my anxiety a few weeks ago and they gave me these tablets I have to take one off a day but they haven’t helped me at all, so what I would like is for you to tell me if you have any ideas or anything that will help me with my anxiety. If you do please may you let me know by putting them in the comments it would mean the world to me if you could help.

Thanks, Cottonixpa

  1. Very sorry to hear about that.
Try to engage yourself in activities like painting, writing (putting your feelings down to paper really helps) keep yourself busy. I know it’s hard and you may be going through tough times, but try it, you’ll feel better.
    😊
    Hope this helps.

    1. thank you so much, it usually gets better when I am at school but I am on summer holidays at the moment and I am usually just sat around doing nothing but I have decided that in the new year I might start taking piano lessons or something else to keep me busy.

      1. My phone’s keyboard allows me to me do so. Actually, I long press the next line button and the emoji pops up. In my Samsung model, I don’t find them. So I think it depends upon the phone models.

  2. Hey, I have dealt with my fair share of anxiety too. Sorry to hear what you’ve been going through. May I recommend any or all of the following (I had them all over the years!)
    – CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) – you can work through a book e.g. ‘Overcoming anxiety’ and/or ask your Dr to refer you for support
    – Psycodynamic Therapy e.g. Gestalt Therapy
    – Mindfulness – try ‘Mindfulness for Dummies’ by Shamash Alidina or theres probably some local classes you could go to.

    Hope this helps
